Technical requirements

What technology is needed to meet your goals? Address costs in your budget.

The initial database prototype will be housed on an OSU College of Engineering server then moved to a paid hosted server such as Cyberland-USA.com.

This server will provide a MySQL database and interface with web pages built with PHP and HTML.

Video equipment will vary, but in general, digital video cameras with hi-definition master tapes will be used for recording. For editing, a video/sound mixer will be used with a MacOSX or Windows XP computer system. Video/sound editing software such as Final Cut Pro will allow the addition of titles, credits,  transition filters, and output optimized for streaming Flash media files.

The final output will be viewable via CD-ROM, DVD, and browsers installed with Flash or QuickTime video plugins.
